It is Giving Tuesday and everyone know that it is an enormous day for charity enthusiasts and philanthropists alike. While the last few days have been about buying today is a day rooted in giving. The movement will receive an extra boost for awareness this year through a trending hashtag, #GivingTuesday. Already on Twitter many have been talking about the day itself, what some have been doing for it, or what some will plan on doing for it.Unknown

 

There are 350 million people in this country and 7 billion people around the world who all use different forms of social media but the words that transcend all platforms have a way of trending everywhere. In today’s instance, #GivingTuesday has invoked a madness for niceness. The movement began in 2012 marking the start of the holiday season which should be surrounded by the overall giving nature of people.

 

Many people around the world struggle through the holidays and this movement is a way to provide support to those who need a helping hand. Giving Tuesday is about more than just money, it can be food, service, or maybe even giving time to someone who doesn’t have anything else. Whatever you have to offer there is someone who will appreciate it.

At the beginning in 2012, there were 2,500 non-profit companies that supported the GivingTuedsay intitaitve, today there are 20,000 a testament to the times and nature of giving to those less fortunate. With a pseudo “battle-cry” to rally around, people are capable of amazing feats of kindness. Today proves that.  Help to spread the word through whatever social media outlet you use the most and remember to give back to someone who may need help. This is the time of year they need it the most. #GivingTuesday and the Giving Season will help countless people this year and for years to come.
